One Week of 2009- 2010 in Our Class

We are learning why calculators are important. Now we are learning how to use a calculator. In Music we learned about sixteenth notes and a song that includes sixteenth notes. Also we finished our book called Muggie Maggie. Today we are playing a game called Beat the Calculator. In Science we are doing something where Mrs.Burns reads us part of a story about the life cycle of a salmon with out showing the pictures and then we sketch the information. We are learning how to compare money. Also we are reviewing a little bit more of Less Than and Greater Than. In P.E. we did rotations. In reading we wrote the problem and solution from the story Muggie Maggie. In Science , we created sentences about salmon using adjectives, nouns, verbs, adverbs, and prepositional phrases. In math we are using money, learning how to sort money , and learning how to put a decimal point in a calculator. We are starting to connect letters in cursive. Our class just now learned more ways to say egg in different languages. In Music we played instruments to a song called Jenny Go Around and Around that has sixteenth notes in it. Now we are learning a cursive C a cursive C seems to be one of the easiest letters in cursive.
